The ovary is one of the female reproductive organs that function to produce the ova (egg cells). Place the egg maturation also occurs in the ovary. Ovaries secrete hormones – hormones like estrogen and progesterone is important that play a role in regulating the menstrual cycle. Women have a pair of ovaries in the form of seeds walnut-shaped gland located on the right and left of the uterus (womb), below the tubal uterine and tied in the back by the uterine broad ligament.The pair of ovaries produce 300,000 eggs. The egg is surrounded by a layer of epithelioid granulosa cells called follicles. From the survey results revealed there are two hormones that are essential for full function of the ovaries of FSH (Follicle-Stimulating Hormone) and LH (luteinizing hormone).
