My Tummy Hurts…
One of the main reasons I am writing this is to potentially help save a childs life. Here is my story!
A few weeks ago my daughter complained of a stomach ache. Being the typical mom, I dismissed it as something she ate or needed to have a bowel movement. The next morning she said, “Mom my stomach still hurts.” I got her dressed, fed her crackers, and sent her off to school. Since I work at the school I told the teacher if her stomach continues to hurt allow her to put her head down and I would pick her up immediately following school. She rested all day in class completing some work but nothing major happened. I check with the teacher who stated she seemed fine by the end of the day. I checked with my daughter who stated she felt better, therefore I decided to stay at work and send her to extended care to play for a while.

It’s hard to make big changes in life. The energy and time commitment is often too great. That’s why so many Americans still struggle with their health. The problem isn’t knowing what to do; it’s doing it. So why not take the opposite approach? Forget about such grand, amorphous goals as losing weight or getting in shape. Instead, aim to drink the leftover milk in your cereal bowl each morning to get more vitamins, or hold your fork in your non-dominant hand to slow your eating, or “forget” your glasses the next time you’re at the gym so you won’t get distracted. Little tips like these can make a big difference over time.
Decorate Your Plate
A 14-year study found that men whose diets were highest in fruits and vegetables had a 70 percent lower risk of digestive-tract cancers. How to reach your quota: Never eat a meal that doesn’t contain a vegetable or fruit. And no, fries don’t count.
Pain in the belly (abdomen) can come from conditions affecting a variety of organs. The abdomen is an anatomical area that is bounded by the lower margin of the ribs above, the pelvic bone (pubic ramus) below, and the flanks on each side. Although abdominal pain can arise from the tissues of the abdominal wall that surround the abdominal cavity (i.e., skin and abdominal wall muscles), the term abdominal pain generally is used to describe pain originating from organs within the abdominal cavity (i.e., beneath the skin and muscles).
By edema excessive fluid gather in body parts or greater areas of the body, making the areas swollen. Edema is most often a problem in the legs, but can occur anywhere in the body.
There are several types of edema, and many cases are also a mixture of more than one type. By lymphedema the drainage from the tissues through the lymph vessels are impaired or excessive fluid goes through the blood capillary walls into the spaces between the cells in a tissue. Edema can also occur because of poor drainage of blood through the veins towards the heart. Edema can further be caused by general accumulation of excessive fluid in the body.

Analog and Digital
As a technology, analog is the process of taking an audio or video signal (the human voice) and translating it into electronic pulses. Digital on the other hand is breaking the signal into a binary format where the audio or video data is represented by a series of “1″s and “0″s. Simple enough when it’s the deviceanalog or digital phone, fax, modem, or likewisethat does all the converting for you.
In today’s world, each day brings new inventions and advancements and it would be impossible to keep up with it all. But, with times constantly changing, we have to do our best to keep up with them. One of the latest trends that everyone should know more about is FTAs, free to air satellite receivers and files.
An FTA receiver is a satellite receiver, which is well equipped to receive the unencrypted FTA satellite transmissions. An FTA satellite receiver is able to decode the MPEG-2 data compression protocol used in most of the FTA satellite transmissions. An FTA receiver will not be able to decode the Dish Network or DirecTV satellite signaling.
As the price per watt falls, the tipping point for solar energy to become truly competitive is only a few years away
By Joel Stonington
The big number is 50. When companies can produce solar photovoltaic modules for less than 50¢ per watt, solar energy will be able to compete directly with coal. Right now, the cheapest solar cells are being produced for as little as 70¢ per watt. They are selling for about $1.26 per watt, with prices expected to drop to $1.17 next year. Most anticipate they they will hit 50¢ per watt within four or five years.
