Physical Changes
When the fetus begins to grow and develop, your body is also changing. Enlarged breasts & uterus causes changes in the balance and posture. The uterus will also encourage the bulkhead chest cavity so you will easily feel ‘out’ breath.
Trimester 1
- You may feel more tired than usual. Take a break and read a book or magazine about pregnancy and childbirth.
- You may be experiencing ‘morning sickness’ (sometimes accompanied by nausea, vomiting), which will usually disappear when entering the age of 4 months of pregnancy.
- Breasts enlarged and slightly painful, the skin around the nipples become darker.
- Frequent urination.
- The skin in the middle of the abdomen may be darker in color.
Get around the ‘morning sickness’
Nausea can occur throughout the day, but morning sickness is usually more severe. That is why the nausea in pregnancy is called ‘morning sickness’. How to work around this?
- Provide a biscuit without salt / low salt at the bedside.
- Do not rush to get out of bed.
- Before getting out of bed, eat some biscuits first.

Trimester 2
- Weight loss continues to rise.

Overcoming difficult bowel movements (constipation)

Overcoming back pain
- Lying to the left, both legs bent.

Trimester 3
